| THE CHALLENGE |
| Today, a new
generation of ministers and educators, most of
them lay people, are taking up the challenge of
church leadership to offer their gifts to the
service of the People of God.
This has created a need to provide
these new ministers with an informed and contemporary
theological vision, professional competence, and
practical ministerial skills. |

| THE RESPONSE |
| To fulfill
this need the Archdiocese of Glasgow and the Archdiocese
of St. Andrews and Edinburgh, in co-operation with
the Loyola Institute for Ministry, New Orleans,
offer the following courses: |

A certificate in
Religious Education or Pastoral Studies |
|
A post-graduate master's degree
in Religious Education or Pastoral Studies |
| |

| THE PROGRAMME |
| |
|
|
The programme is made up of 12 courses each
with 10 sessions |
|
Each sessions consists
of a 3 hour learning and reflection study
group led by a trained facilitator and using
printed manuals, videotapes and other selected
texts. |

| THE PEOPLE |
| The programme
is designed to provide people in a variety of
ministerial roles with the information and practical
expertise demanded by their situation. |

|
Men and
women who are seeking to bring their faith
to bear more directly on their work and
witness.
|
|
Diocesan and parish
workers involved in various forms of church
life and ministry.
|
|
Clergy and Religious seeking on-going formation. |
|
The LIMEX programme's
educational philosophy and curriculum are based
on sound principles of adult education and theological
reflection. |
