| Flourish is the official
newspaper of the Archdiocese of Glasgow. Founded in 1976, it shares directly
in the mission of the Church to proclaim
the Gospel of Jesus Christ by evangelizing,
educating, informing and fostering dialogue.
The paper's title is derived from the
motto of the city of Glasgow –
Lord, let Glasgow flourish by the
preaching of Thy word and the praising
of Thy name – attributed to
St Mungo, the patron of the Archdiocese
of Glasgow.
Flourish is published 11 times a
year - appearing on the first Sunday
of the month, except January. Each
edition is circulated to all 97 parishes
in the Archdiocese of Glasgow and
a number of parishes in the dioceses
of Motherwell and Paisley. The paper
has a readership across Scotland and
subscribers in Europe, Africa, the
Americas and Asia. |
