Archbishop announces new clergy appointments

The Archbishop recently has made the following appointments which were announced in the respective parishes at the weekend.

Father William Monaghan (parish priest, Saint Agnes’, Lambhill) retiring and to be resident at Saint Paul’s, Whiteinch.

Father Anthony Ejikeme (parish priest, Saint Martin’s, Renton), to be parish priest of Saint Agnes’, Lambhill.

Canon Peter McBride (parish priest, Saint Peter’s and Saint Simon’s, Partick) to be parish priest of Saint Martin’s, Renton.

Monsignor Paul Murray (parish priest of Saint Helen’s, Langside) to be parish priest of Saint Peter’s and Saint Simon’s, Partick.

Father Benneth Onyebuchukwu (parish priest Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and Corpus Christi) to be parish priest of Saint Helen’s, Langside and Chaplain to Holyrood Secondary School.

 

Father Augustine Aboyomi (assistant priest at Saint Peter’s and Saint Simon’s, Partick) to be parish priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and Corpus Christi

Father Edward Toner (recently ordained) to be assistant priest at Holy Family and Saint Ninian’s, Saint Flannan’s and Saint John of the Cross, Twechar.

Father Frank McKendry (recently ordained) to be assistant priest at Saint Peter’s and Saint Simon’s, Partick.

All of these appointments take effect from Friday 23rd September 2022.

The Archbishop thanks all those involved for their willingness to take up these new assignments.
