It is with sorrow that the death is announced of Canon Tommy Hendry, former Parish Priest of St Teresa of Lisieux, Possilpark. Canon Tommy died on Dec 19 at St Joseph's Home, Robroyston. He was 85 years old.
He was ordained in June 1966 after studying for the priesthood at St Peter's College, Cardross. His life as a priest was full and varied and wherever he went his trademark smile and kindness were much appreciated.

1973-1983: Chaplain Sisters of Notre Dame Dowanhill;
1980-1985: Assistant Chaplain Glasgow University;
1985: Assistant Priest Sacred Heart Cumbernauld;
1990: Parish Priest St Teresa's Possilpark;
2018: Installed to the Chapter of Canons;
2024: Retired
Funeral will be at St Teresa of Lisieux in Possilpark at 12pm on January 12. His remains will be received into the church on Sunday, 11th January at 6:30pm.
