The annual blessing of the crib in Glasgow’s George Square will take place on Wednesday December 4 at 6.30pm.
Archbishop Nolan will join the Lord Provost and other Church and Civic leaders for the event which is a much-loved moment in the city’s Advent season.
Music will be provided by Alba Brass and the children of St Monica’s Primary will lead the carol-singing.
On Sunday December 15 at 3pm in the City Chambers a ‘Carols for Peace’ service will take place hosted by the Lord Provost to pray especially for peace in the Holy Land and surrounding areas. Among the musical contributions will be those of the St Mungo Singers and the children of St Denis’ Primary.
Doors open at 2.30pm and the event will be followed by refreshments in the Satinwood Suite overlooking George Square. No ticket needed .. all welcome.
