We require a flexible, organised, and efficient individual, with excellent communication skills and previous relevant work experience in the field of youth work (paid and/or voluntary), to join the Archdiocesan Youth Office team. As part of the team, and in collaboration with the Director of the Archdiocesan Youth Office, the post-holder will assist Catholic parishes to meet the spiritual and pastoral needs of young people within the Archdiocese of Glasgow. They will facilitate parish-based youth ministry, provide training, talks, prayer experiences, support and resource materials, in line with the vision of the Youth Office, firmly rooted in that of the Archdiocese and the teachings of the Catholic Church. The successful candidate would have some of the following competencies: confidence in public speaking, the ability to lead music during times of prayer and the skills to promote the Youth Office’s social media presence. They will also be subject to PVG checks.
The post requires a degree of flexibility with regards to hours worked (including evenings/weekends and on occasion overnights) and the post-holder must also be willing to undertake, on an occasional and ad-hoc basis, both national and international travel.
17.5 hours per week. Group personal pension scheme. Annual leave 20 – 25 days per annum, plus recognised public holidays and days of obligation prorated.
