Easter is now approaching. Here is a list of services in the Cathedral for Holy week and Easter.
 
Monday 30th March - Wednesday 1st April: Mass at 1.00pm and 5.15pm. Confessions at 12.30pm each day.
 
Holy Thursday, 2nd April: 11.00am - The Chrism Mass Celebrated by the Archbishop and clergy of the Archdiocese. The holy oils are blessed and the priests renew their commitment to service. All welcome to attend.
6.00pm - The Mass of the Lord’s Supper - This Mass celebrates the institution of the Eucharist and Christ’s eternal gift to the Church. A collection will be taken up for the Wayside Club
9.00pm - Night Prayer at the Altar of Repose.
 
Good Friday, 3rd April - Day of Fasting and Abstinence 10.00am – Morning Prayer
3.00pm - The Solemn Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord - the reading of the Passion, the Veneration of the Cross, and Holy Communion. A collection will be taken up for the Holy Places.
6.00pm—Meditations on the Passion with Veneration of the Cross.
 
Holy Saturday, 4th April: 10.00am – Morning Prayer
9.00pm—The Easter Vigil The Service of Light and the Liturgy of the Word are followed by the baptism and initiation of the Church’s new members, who then join the whole assembly in the first Eucharist of Easter.
 
Easter Sunday, 5th April - Mass at 10.00am and 12noon only. No evening Mass.
 
Easter Monday, 6th April - Mass at 1.00pm. No evening Mass.
 
Tuesday 7th April - Normal Mass schedule resumes
